How Do I Plug In?

With so many guests coming our way, many are asking, “How can I plug in to CrossWay?”  To summarize, there are five ways to become an active CrossWay attender:

  • WORSHIP - Nothing can take the place of a family worshiping together, whether it’s your personal family of your church family.  It’s the first “touch” many people have with CrossWay.
  • CONNECT - Our small group Bible study classes make up the backbone of our new Connect Ministry.  They do what just worship can never do.  Find your spot in one of our connect groups.
  • GROW - We call our Sunday evening classes our GROW classes. Needs-based, usually co-ed, for all age-groups.  Get to know others in the CrossWay family.
  • SERVE - Until God can work through you to meet the needs of others, you will never grow spiritually.  Service here at CrossWay affords endless possibilities to serve.
  • GO - Telling others about the Lord is a privilege.  Mission trips are planned all through the year, both local and long-distance.  Just inviting someone to come with you is significant.

Which of these five ways would help you to plug in to the CrossWay family?

#22 -Can you give some details about what you mean by fire qukcily ? This could mean that if a person makes a mistake, you are quick to terminate them. It seems like such a strategy would leave people in fear for their jobs constantly.I assume you mean that after prayer you realize that a person is not going to work out in a position, you fire them qukcily instead of just keeping them around. (I certainly agree with not keeping useless dinosaurs around). What about moving people to other positions within the church?

#22 Larry brings up a good point. Firing souhld be done with as much care as hiring. Motives souhld be checked with all parties involved. I tried calling a few people out in sin at a church (a pastor buying things that were frivolous for personal use on the church's bill and that was emotionally abusive towards women) and due to me not being connected politically, I got fired. I even followed the Matthew 18 model. So due to some pastors not taking the time to see what was really gone, my life and my ministry have been greatly altered.
