Children's Ministry

Training and loving tomorrow's leaders will always be a priority at CrossWay. The very best of our programming is found in the children's area. Activities designed especially for our children include the following:

Children's Church "CrossForce"

During the morning worship times at CrossWay, we offer a special worship service for children ages 4 years through Kindergarten. By using activities geared for their age group, we are able to help the children better understand who God is and how God operates in the world. This also gives parents a chance to worship without being distracted. "CrossForce" is a high-energy program led by a rotating team of workers. These workers are not only compassionate toward meeting the needs of children, but also meeting the needs of parents.

AWANA- Ages 3 Years to Grade 5

If you’re looking for the premier program to change kids’ lives, you’ve come to the right place! Awana is the leading ministry to help reach children with the gospel and train them to know, love and serve Christ.  Awana blends Bible teaching, Scripture memorization and tons of fun. Awana meets on Sunday evenings at 5:30pm.

Divorce Care for Kids

Help your children heal from the pain of divorce

Are your children angry, hurt and confused about your divorce? Finding help for your children can be frustrating. DivorceCare for Kids, DC4K, provides a safe, fun place where your children will: Learn to understand their feelingsExpress their emotions appropriatelyFeel better about themselvesDevelop coping skillsBe introduced to biblical concepts that will bring comfortSome children struggle deeply with the separation and divorce, while others seem to bounce back quickly. In the long run, all children are affected. DC4K will help minimize and eliminate the short- and long-term negative effects of divorce on your children's schoolwork, emotional health and spiritual life.

As your children begin to heal from the pain and confusion, their relationships with you, God and others will grow healthy and strong.

Children meet other kids who understand how they feel

Children experiencing divorce tell us they feel alone and helpless. Your children may feel scared, sad and confused. They may hide their feelings from you because they are worried about your happiness or because they do not know how to express their feelings appropriately.

Meetings are every Sunday night from 5:30pm – 7:00pm or Wednesday Night from 5:30pm – 7:00pm. Don't wait, take that first step today and call us to register. For more information on times and locations, call 615-278-0000.

What is DC4K?

DC4K is a special group to help your children heal from the pain caused by a separation or divorce. DC4K provides your children with a safe and neutral place to recognize and learn to share their feelings.

Your children will get involved in a fun, caring group at a church near you while you attend the DivorceCare program at the same time. The weekly session topics help your children learn that God’s love strengthens them and helps turn their sadness to hope and their anger to joy.

Each session is filled with activities, games, crafts, role playing, discussion times, journaling and workbooks all designed to help your children process the divorce and move forward with their lives. The music CDs, snacks, read aloud stories, exercises and Bible verses teach your children to relax and rest secure in God’s love. The Kids Like Me and Stories from the Bible video dramas present stories of children just like your children, who are experiencing divorce-related problems and have found help and encouragement.

Tell Me More about DC4KThe following video will hopefully give you a better idea of what the DivorceCare for Kids support group is like and how it can help your children recover from the devastating effects of the divorce or separation of their parents.
